Nata nel 1967 Maxxis Tyres produce camere d’aria, copertoni per biciclette per ogni esigenza. L’azienda taiwanese offre prodotti per ogni tipologia di veicolo: bici, automobili, atv, camion, motociclette, kart, rimorchi e macchine da giardino. LE MESCOLE

La parte più importante e quella che differenzia una gomma da un'altra è la mescola, Maxxis utilizza varie mescole per dare al biker la più vasta e ampia scelta, qui di seguito le caratteristiche principali:

  • Mescola singola, una unica mescola che garantisce una lunga durata e buone prestazioni;
  • Doppia Mescola, una mescola dura che garantisce una maggiore durata viene utilizzata al centro, mentre sulle spalle del copertone viene utilizzata una mescola più morbida;
  • Super Tacky, una speciale mescola utilizzata principalmente nel downhill che garantisce un basso indice di rimbalzo ma garantendo un'ottima tenuta di strada;
  • eXCeption, sigla exc, è una speciale mescola che garantisce ottime prestazioni per chi pratica il cross country
  • 3C Maxx Speed, è la mescola utilizzata per la realizzazione dei copertoni da Enduro e Cross country, le mescole utilizzate garantiscono un'ottima trazione di strada e riduce al minimo la resistenza al rotolamento;
  • 3C Maxx Terra, è la versione più morbida e con maggiore grip rispetto alla precedente mescola;
  • 3C Maxx Grip, è la migliore mescola che si possa utilizzare per la realizzazione delle gomme da competizione per il downhill, garantisce un'ottimo grip con un indice molto basso di rimbalzo.

MAXXIS MTB

La scelta della gomma soprattutto nella mountain bike ha una primaria importanza. Gli pneumatici si pongono tra terreno e bici, quindi il loro contributo è fondamentale sia che siamo in condizioni ottimali e vogliamo velocità massima, sia che stiamo affrontando tratti impegnativi e cerchiamo il massimo grip e precisione. Quali sono le caratteristiche principali di una buona gomma per mtb? Come garantire basso attrito, massimo grip, precisione in entrata e tenuta in curva?

Un rider deve scegliere una gomma in base alle caratteristiche proprie, alle caratteristiche del terreno ed alle condizioni climatiche. Proprio per questo Maxxis offre una delle gamme più ampie di pneumatici per mtb, in grado di offrire il giusto modello per ogni esigenza.

La gamma di pneumatici Maxxis per mountain bike offre copertoni per i diversi standard di ruote da 26”, 27,5”, 27.5+ e 29” per ogni tipologia di riding dal cross country, enduro, dirt jumping, freeride e downhill.

PNEUMATICI MAXXIS PER XC

Nella categoria cross country Maxxis offre pneumatici per le diverse esigenze: Maxxlite è la gomma per le gare XC con un peso di soli 285gr, usato da molti rider in coppa del mondo. Un altro modello da competizione con ottima trazione in curva è Aspen. Se cercate una icona delle competizioni, la gomma che fa per voi è la Ikon. Nelle gare molto tecniche o nelle competizioni stile epic, Ardent Race offre un ottimo grip. Maxxis Tread lite è un ottimo pneumatico in condizioni di asciutto. Maxxis Crossmark e Crossmark II sono tra le più ricercate dai rider: offrono alta velocità e molto grip; ruota scorrevole e tubeless ready. Per un cross country agressivo o quando le condizioni climatiche sono incerte, in particolare in autunno o a fine stagione, la soluzione è Forekaster, un copertone per xc per ogni terreno.

PNEUMATICI MAXXIS PER ENDURO

Se cercate una gomma per all mountain per le varie tipologie di terreno, il nostro consiglio è Maxxis Aggressor. Le gomme mtb da enduro della casa taiwanese sono molteplici, ma un accenno particolare meritano le Minion SS, ideali per le moderne gare da enduro con discese e risalite. Quando la situazione del terreno si fa più impegnativa, la scelta per i rider enduro è la Maxxis High Roller II, scelta eccellente per tracciati freeride tecnici ed impegnativi. In condizioni di bagnato e fango, le gomme mtb da enduro ideali sono Maxxis Beaver e la Shorty, versione enduro della famosa gomma da DH.
